James Hrkach

Designer, editor, filmmaker, musician, and artist James Hrkach, is a graduate of the Fine Arts Program at Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and the Artist in Community Education Program (also at Queen’s), is the resident artist/illustrator/designer/photographer at Full Quiver Publishing.  He and his wife Ellen live in Pakenham Ontario, and have been married since 1982. They have five adult sons and two grandchildren.

James has designed countless fiction and non-fiction book covers and several music-recording album covers. He has also provided original artwork, illustrations and character design for several creative projects, including the Shubert the Firefly and Sophie the Firefly children’s book series.

James also provides book editing critiques at the developmental stage and designs online courses that promote arts education, especially in the area of composition.

More recently, he illustrated the children’s book,  Dubbie: The Double-Headed Eagle by Eduard Habsburg-Lothringen.
